Aishwarya Raj Bhakuni who has been part of shows like Tenali Rama, Jhansi Ki Rani, and Vighnaharta Ganesha, became an actress by chance. She shares about how she never had plans of becoming an actor, but it was fate.
While many actors dream of making it to the industry, Aishwarya says, “When I started doing my BTech from SRM University, Chennai, I began receiving a lot of film offers. That’s when I felt that maybe I was meant for this. Also, I was a little bored of studies, so I thought to give it a try. If not an actor, I would have been an IAS officer. It was my father’s dream for me to serve the country in this way."
She recalls being underestimated in her early days. “People used to tell me that I’m not actor material. But I didn’t let that affect me, and I kept going. Whenever a new artist enters the industry, there are always people who try to break their confidence. But I strongly believe that one should have confidence in themselves, she says.
Aishwarya understands the uncertainty of the acting career and says, "An alternate career is important, as this field is quite uncertain. If you look at all actors, they have alternate businesses to secure their future. I am also planning to open my restaurant and working in that direction."
