Mauricio Umansky, the well-known real estate mogul and reality TV star, suffered a serious injury while skiing in Aspen, Colorado. The 54-year-old took to Instagram on Friday, February 14, to share details of the incident, revealing that he had broken his clavicle.
Umansky posted a photo of himself lying in a hospital bed, dressed in a hospital gown and receiving oxygen through a nasal cannula. In his caption, he expressed gratitude for the medical professionals who assisted him. “I feel so blessed to be taken care of by such amazing humans. Ski patrol, Paramedics, Aspen Hospital—you’re all the best. Broken Clavicle,” he wrote.
The Buying Beverly Hills star also shared an X-ray image of his injury, confirming that he would need surgery. Remaining positive, he wrote, “Let’s get this surgery done so I can heal,” adding that while playing hard sometimes results in injury, the medical care he received had been “incredible.”
In his final update, Umansky shared a video of himself being transported down the ski slope on a rescue toboggan by emergency responders. The footage showed him looking somber but composed as he was assisted off the mountain.
