It is now officially impossible to beat Julia Louis Dreyfus at the comedy game! The actress who is extremely popular for her character Elaine in Seinfeld has now become famous for her role as Selina Meyer on hit TV show Veep who alongside Game of Thrones (Drama) and The People v OJ Simpson: American Crime Story (Limited Series) took home maximum awards in the Comedy genre.

In earning her 5th consecutive award this year for ‘Lead Actress In a Comedy Series’ for television show Veep that airs on Star World Premiere HD, Dreyfus has made Emmy History for most wins in the category! Her acceptance speech said, “I’d also like to take this opportunity to personally apologize for the current political climate.” She added, “What started out as a political satire, now feels more like a sobering documentary” and vowed to rebuild the wall between comedy and politics saying, “and make Mexico pay for it.”
She dedicated her award to her late father William who passed away just this Friday in a tearful speech. Catch the repeat telecast of the 68th Primetime Emmy Award tonight at 8 PM across Star English Entertainment Network!
