Tathagata Bhattacherjee’s upcoming film ‘Akorik’ marks veteran actor Victor Banerjee’s return to Bengali cinema after a long time. This slice-of-a-life drama will also see Rituparna Sengupta playing a single mother. ‘Akorik’ is a story of a 75-year-old man, who grew up in a traditional Bengali joint family system, and a 10-year-old boy, who lives with his mother – a single parent.

Tathagata Bhattacherjee’s film ‘Akorik’, starring Rituparna Sengupta and Victor Banerjee in the lead is all set for its Kolkata International Film Festival premiere. It will be screened in ‘Bengali Panorama’ section on 17th December 2022 at 6.30 pm and at Nazrul Tirtha II on 21st December 2022 at 5 pm.
