Chennai Super Kings have equaled the record of their greatest IPL adversary, the Mumbai Indians. At 1.35 am on Tuesday, May 30, at the Narendra Modi Stadium, they too could claim that they have hoisted the IPL trophy five times.
Ravindra Jadeja’s hectic knock of 15 off six balls, including ten of the final two deliveries and cameos from Ajinkya Rahane (27 off 13 balls) and the retiring Ambati Rayudu (19 off 8 balls), almost neutralised Gujarat Titans’ number 3 Sai Sudarsan’s 47-ball 96 in the Titans’ total of 214 for 4.
