Apple is expected to launch its next-generation smartwatch, the Series 10 (or maybe named Apple Watch X) later this year. A group of designers have reportedly created a concept that imagines the upcoming device as a thinner Apple Watch Ultra model that may arrive with a FaceTime camera.
Apple Watch X concept: How it may look
In a statement to 9to5Mac, Designer Lukas Gehrer from German design agency Wordsmattr () said: “We have worked on a detailed design concept and mockups of an Apple Watch X for more than 3 months now and have collected several rumours, patents and news about the upcoming Apple Watch.”

The Apple Watch X concept looks very familiar to the current Apple Watch Ultra model. However, the Ultra smartwatch has a thicker body while the concept imagines the rumoured Apple Watch X as a thinner version of the same with slightly curved edges unlike the completely flat ones that are present in the Ultra model. The concept also shows how a darker titanium Apple Watch may look like.
This Apple Watch X concept also features a camera built into the screen for users to access FaceTime and may even include a blood pressure sensor.
Rumours suggest Apple is currently working on a blood pressure sensor for its smartwatches. However, there are no signs that the Watch may get a camera.
According to a previous report by Bloomberg, Apple Watch X is expected to be the “biggest overhaul yet” to the Apple Watch. Rumors suggest that the new design is likely to make the product thinner and also introduce a new magnetic band system. With this change, the company may even end up breaking the device’s compatibility with current watch bands.
However, Apple is expected to launch the rumoured smartwatch later this year and some analysts have predicted that the new design may end up being pushed back to late 2025 due to its complexity.
