Apple AirPods update brings head gestures
Apple AirPods update brings a new seamless hands-free experience that lets AirPods Pro users interact with Siri with a simple head nod yes or shake no gestures.
During the keynote, Apple showcased that a user can simply reject a call with a simple shake when wearing AirPods Pro. Similarly, a nod accepts the call.
AirPods Pro Voice IsolationAirPods Pro update also includes a new Voice Isolation that aims to offer users clearer call quality even in noisy environments. Apart from this, Apple has also introduced a new algorithm to offer reduced audio latency while gaming.
A new Personalised Spatial Audio has also made its way to the AirPods Pro and the first game – NFS Mobile – with Personalised Spatial Audio support will be available later this year.
Personalized Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking will be available for gaming across AirPods (3rd generation), AirPods Pro, and AirPods Max.
When using AirPods Pro, gamers will now have reduced audio latency. Also, AirPods Pro users can also enjoy improved voice quality, including 16-bit, 48kHz audio, when chatting with teammates and other players. To make it easier to implement the most immersive listening experience for games with advanced sound design, a developer API is now available.
Beta availabilityAirPods developer beta is now available for Apple Developer Program members starting today. Also, the new features will be available this fall as a free firmware update. Siri Interactions, Voice Isolation, and improved voice quality will be available with AirPods Pro (2nd generation).
