Apple AirPods Pro 2nd-generation receives a new update: What’s new and more
Apple has started rolling out a new firmware update for Apple AirPods Pro 2nd-generation. The update applies to both Lightning and USB-C versions of the 2nd-gneration AirPods Pro. If you are wondering what’s new or changed with the update, then as always, Apple hasn’t released the changelog or hasn’t revealed any specifics about it, except “bug fixes and other improvements”.
Talking about the update rollout it’s happening already and AirPods Pro 2nd-generation users can now update their devices.
Do keep in mind that Apple does not allow users to manually push the update to the AirPods. It happens Over-the-Air and automatically when AirPods are connected to iPhone.
All users have to do is put the AirPods in the case, connect it to a power source and pair it with iPhone or Mac to update it.
While users don’t have the option to update the AirPods manually, Apple does allow users to check the firmware version of the AIrPods to determine whether or not it is running the latest available firmware.
To do that, follow these steps.
Connect your ‌‌‌‌‌‌‌AirPods Pro‌‌‌‌‌‌‌ to your iOS device.
Open the Settings app.
Tap General.
Tap About.
Tap ‌‌‌‌‌AirPods‌‌‌‌‌.
Look at the number next to "Firmware Version."
Meanwhile, the other AirPods firmware remain unchanged. This includes the 2nd-generation AirPods, 3rd-generation AirPods and AirPods Max.
