Google Gemini gets two new features: What are they and availability
Google has recently rolled out two new features for Gemini. While the first is ‘Go Live with Gemini’ that provides a means to have a natural conversation with the chatbot and the other is the ability of Google Workspace users to access additional information on topics directly within responses in Gemini.
“Starting in English, Gemini Live is a new way to have natural, free flowing conversations with Gemini on your phone.
Brainstorm, learn, and practise out loud with real-time spoken responses,” the company said in an update flashed in Gemini AI chatbot on desktop.
“Gemini adapts to your conversational style so you can interrupt, ask follow-up questions or come back to the conversation later with ease. Now available in Gemini Advanced,” it added.
Google says that the reason to roll out this feature is to provide users with easier and faster responses to save their time.
“Sometimes it’s just easier and faster to talk things out when inspiration or curiosity strikes, whether that's brainstorming a new business idea, simplifying a complex topic, or rehearsing for an important conversation,” Google said.
In its previous update, Google announced that responses in Gemini have become faster. The Gemini AI chatbot is powered by the Gemini 1.5 Flash model and is claimed to offer up to 50% faster due to introduction of major latency improvements.

Access to related content available for Gemini for Google Workspace add-on subscribers

Google also said that those users who have a qualifying Gemini for Google Workspace add-on subscription can now access additional information on topics directly within responses in Gemini. It added that the links to supporting content will be available at the end of a paragraph.
“By providing links to content relating to your prompts, Gemini helps Workspace subscribers dig deeper into relevant topics,” Google added.
