Elon Musk had some 'warning' for all federal employees in the US recently. Elon Musk's tough words came just hours after he received praise from the US President
Donald Trump. In a post on his social network Truth, the US President complimented Elon Musk on doing a good job and asked him to be "more aggressive". "Elon is doing a great job, But I would like to see him get more aggressive. Remember we have a country to save, but ultimately, to make greater than ever before. MAGA!," wrote Elon Musk.
Just hours after Donald Trump's post, Musk wrote: "All federal employees will shortly receive an email requesting to understand what they got done last week. Failure to respond will be taken as a resignation." Just minutes after his tweet, Twitter exploded—some backed Elon Musk, while others slammed him, calling his move "tyrannical."
Joining those criticising the announcement, Senator Tina Smith wrote tagging Elon Musk: "@ElonMusk I hate to break it to you but you aren’t my boss. I answer to the people of Minnesota. But since you bring it up, I spent last week fighting to stop tax breaks for billionaires like you, paid for by defunding health care for moms and babies."
She quoted an Elon Musk's Twitter post that said, "What did you get done this week?"
To this Minnesota GOP Dustin Grage responded: "So Tina, I am your boss. What did you do last week?"
Reports suggest that federal workers were asked to submit "approx. 5 bullets of what you accomplished last week."
Donald Trump calls Elon Musk Patriot
The US President seems all praise for Elon Musk and DOGE. "Elon is doing a great job," Trump told a meeting of conservative activists, running through a list of what he said were "some of the flagrant scams" that had been uncovered. "We love Elon, don't we? He's a character," Trump added. "People said, what official position does he have? I said, 'Patriot'."
