Following escalating tensions between India and Pakistan after the Pahalgam attack, Indian travel companies like EaseMyTrip and Cox & Kings are taking a stand against Turkey and Azerbaijan due to their pro-Pakistan stance. EaseMyTrip advises caution when visiting these nations, while Cox & Kings has paused new travel offerings, urging Indian travelers to consider the geopolitical environment.

Indian travel companies have taken a strong stand against Turkey and Azerbaijan after their anti-India stance in the ongoing India-Pakistan conflict. Travel booking platform EaseMyTrip has issued an important Travel advisory for its customers. The travel company has strongly advised tourists to visit Turkey and Azerbaijan only if absolutely necessary.Cox & Kings said it has decided to temporarily pause all new travel offerings to Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Turkey.Turkey and Azerbaijan have rallied behind Pakistan despite its support to cross-border terrorism against India and its aggression after the Indian Armed Forces struck terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir in response to the Pahalgam terror attack.

What Turkey and Azerbaijan said

"The Republic of Azerbaijan expresses its concern over the further escalation of tension between the Republic of India and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. We condemn military attacks against the Islamic Republic of Pakistan that killed and injured several civilians," the statement from Azerbaijan read.
"Being in solidarity with the people of Pakistan, we express condolences to the families of the innocent victims and wish a speedy recovery to those who were injured. We call on all parties to exercise restraint and to resolve the conflict through diplomatic means," the Azerbaijan's statement added.The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement on May 7 had said that "the attack carried out by India last night (May 6) raises the risk of an all-out war. We condemn such provocative steps as well as attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure.”

What Cox & Kings said on travel boycott to Turkey and Azerbaijan

"In light of recent developments, we have decided to pause all new travel offerings to Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Turkey. This decision is driven by our commitment to uphold principles that matter deeply to us and the people of our country. We also advise Indian travellers to exercise discretion and avoid any non-essential travel to these destinations until there is greater clarity and alignment in the broader geopolitical environment," said Karan Agarwal, Director, Cox & Kings.

What EaseMyTrip and its founder and CEO's travel advisory says

"Travel Advisory!!! Following the Pahalgam attack and escalating tensions between India & Pakistan, travellers are urged to stay aware. As Turkey & Azerbaijan have shown support for Pakistan, we strongly recommend visiting only if absolutely necessary. Stay informed. Travel responsibly. #TravelUpdate #EaseMyTrip," said the company in a post on social media platform Twitter. Along with the travel advisory, the company has also shared screenshots of the same message that it is showing on all its hotel booking pages in Turkey and Azerbaijan.EaseMyTrip's Founder and Chairman Nishant Pitti also took to Twitter, saying that he was "deeply concerned" by the recent developments and advising all its customers to exercise utmost caution and stay updated on official travel advisories before planning trips to sensitive regions.
