ChromeOS 124: All featuresChromeOS 124 brings Faster Split Screen Setup feature that offers you a faster way to set up your window layout by showing an overview of your open windows on the other side of the screen.
With the new feature, Chromebook users can lock a window in place on one side of the screen. One can also choose an already-open window from Overview to snap into the other side.
Another notable feature coming with ChromeOS 124 is Quality of Service (QoS) that ensures better traffic prioritization of video conferencing and gaming applications on congested WiFi networks. The feature is designed to offer a smoother video play experience to the users with minimal buffering. In this initial release, this feature is not available for managed users.
In addition, ChromeOS 124 brings the fast pair feature for mice. Users can simply bring a Fast Pair-compatible mouse close to their ChromeOS device. They will be prompted to pair it with one click. The update also brings the ability to adjust cursor size. The feature will be helpful for people who have low vision, for teachers who want students to follow along during a lesson while presenting, for people who are presenting on a video call.
