Apple has released the first public beta of macOS Sequoia, giving Mac users an early look at the next major version of the operating system ahead of its fall launch. The public beta includes several new features like iPhone Mirroring and an improved window tiling system.
Here’s what’s new in macOS Sequoia
The headline feature of macOS Sequoia is iPhone Mirroring, which allows users to view and control their iPhones directly from their Mac.
This continuity feature lets users access iPhone apps and notifications even when the device is locked or in another room.
Other key additions include a new window tiling system for easier multitasking, a dedicated Passwords app for managing login credentials, and improvements to core apps like Notes and Messages. The update also brings many of the AI-powered features introduced in iOS 18, such as enhanced writing tools and image generation capabilities.
