John Cena's induction into the WWE Hall of Fame is as inevitable as the sun rising in the east. The 16-time World Champion, a true icon of this generation, has earned his place among wrestling's immortals. With a storied career filled with epic rivalries, Cena has the luxury of choosing who he wants to deliver that all-important induction speech. One of Cena's most prominent rivals has recently been rumored to be the frontrunner for this prestigious honor. While the wrestler remains tight-lipped, sources close to them suggest they are both humbled and thrilled by the prospect.
Who Will Induct John Cena? A Former WWE Champion Says It Should Be Him
Even though Cena has faced many outstanding opponents during his
WWE career, the current favorite is still his first opponent on the main roster. To begin a legendary career inside the squared circle, Cena accepted
Kurt Angle's open challenge in 2002. Angle said it would be an honor to induct his former rival and added that Cena deserves that historic 17th World Championship in an interview with regarding the possibility:
He said, “Well, I’ll tell you this, there are a lot of people that deserve to induct John.
Randy Orton, who was his biggest competition, or his nemesis. But
Stephanie McMahon, don’t forget that she’s the one that discovered his rapping ability, and she was a big fan of his, she really supported him quite often. But no I’d be honoured to induct John Cena, the one thing I want to say about him is he has shown that he is possibly the greatest WWE superstar of all time. Winning 16 World Heavyweight Titles in one company, Ric Flair won 16, but he won them in NWA and WCW and WWE and you can’t take that away from him, they were all major promotions. But to do it all in one company, that makes you that company’s greatest star. And I really believe that he deserves another title before he retires.”
