WWE’s Bronson Reed Battles Unexpected Complications in Major Surgery

Bronson Reed, widely recognized as a powerhouse in WWE, recently sustained a fatal injury during a WarGames match with the ongoing WWE Survivor Series 2024. The intense match featured the most talked-about factions in WWE: the “Original Bloodline,” consisting of Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Sami Zayn, Jimmy Uso, and Jey Uso, against the new Bloodline faction reformed by Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Bronson Reeds himself.
While attempting a high-risk leap from the top of the cage onto Reigns, Punk pulled Reigns away from the spot Reeds’ was aiming to smash at, causing Reed to crash through the table instead. This resulted in an injury to his right ankle; upon leaving the ring with the help of assistance, Reed was diagnosed with a broken ankle.
Reed’s injury during his recent match seems to be more complicated than it initially seemed. At the time of the injury, it was feared that both ankles could have been affected; however, upon inspection, Reed suffered a broken right ankle.

Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Radio reflected some light upon the wrestler’s injury by stating, “I want to wish the best to Bronson Reed, who underwent foot surgery,” Alvarez shared. “Looking like it’s gonna be many months of recovery. And, I mean, the only thing I heard was, like, it was one of those things where, like, it was more complicated than they thought when they went in there. But apparently, they got it all done, and he’s on the road to recovery, so all the best to him.”
While the wrestler outshines in his recent in-ring performances against rivals like Braun Strowman and a decisive victory against Seth Rollins during a Raw event, solidifying his position as a formidable competitor in WWE. However, following his surgery for a broken ankle, the star wrestler is expected to be out of action for a few months.
This timeline has put him at risk of missing several significant WWE events like Royal Rumble 2025, WWE Elimination Chamber, and WrestleMania 41. Reed’s absence will be prominent given his rising status in WWE.

The wrestler is currently handling his recent injury with a positive outlook; his determination to return to the ring is quite evident through his social media updates. Reed shared a post-surgery picture on Twitter stating, “On The Road to F*** Sh** Up!” This specifies his enthusiasm to overcome the unfortunate setback and his motivation to get back to the ring.
