Why did Paul Heyman Side with CM Punk on WWE RAW? Possible Reason and More Explored

Paul Heyman was seen helping CM Punk, which could be an interesting turn on the road to WrestleMania 41.
The ending of the March 10th, 2025 edition of Monday Night RAW on Netflix was chaotic in Madison Square Garden. The fans saw the return of Roman Reigns since the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event. However, an even shocking thing that happened in the closing moments of the show has raised speculations among fans.
The main event of WWE RAW this week saw CM Punk and Seth "Freakin" Rollins collide in a Steel Cage match. It was a gruesome affair between the two heated rivals who tore each other apart. However, the ending of the match and the show was even more shocking. Toward the end of the match, Roman Reigns returned and pulled Rollins out of the cage, laying a beatdown on him to exact revenge from the 2025 Royal Rumble event.

As the OTC was leaving, he witnessed something that he did not expect. Reigns saw his Wiseman, Paul Heyman helping out CM Punk get back on his feet. This made Roman Reigns furious and he entered the ring to take Punk out as well as a scared Paul Heyman watched, but still acknowledged his Tribal Chief.
It is no secret that Paul Heyman and CM Punk have been the best of friends for a long time, which is a big reason for him aiding Punk on RAW. They have been there for each other every time and were even a proper manager-wrestler duo during the final years of Punk's first WWE run. Moreover, in Roman Reigns' absence last year, Punk was there to protect Heyman from the new Bloodline.

Also, Heyman still owes Punk a favor for teaming up with Roman Reigns at the WWE Survivor Series PLE. This could possibly come into play as the feud between Rollins, Punk, and Reigns continues to intensify on the road to WrestleMania 41. But it was Roman Reigns due to whom Heyman has been relevant for the last five years in WWE, serving as his Wiseman.

While Paul Heyman has continued to show his loyalty to Roman Reigns for years, his friendship with CM Punk goes way back. An interesting turn of events could see Heyman deciding to side with CM Punk, claiming that Reigns abandoned him, and he had to endure the wrath of Solo Sikoa and his Bloodline for the entirety of last year.

This change of alliance could also be a new start for both CM Punk and Paul Heyman. For Punk, Heyman could be his ticket to a World Championship reign, and for Heyman, Punk could be the one to protect him from every threat in the company.
