The Street Profits Win First Tag Team Championship After Four Years on WWE SmackDown

The Street Profits clinched their first WWE tag team titles in four years by defeating DIY in a thrilling main event on SmackDown in Barcelona. Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford triumphed after Gargano accidentally kicked Ciampa, followed by a Sky High and Seven Star Frog Splash, leading to wild celebrations with the Spanish crowd.

The Street Profits finally end their long title drought in front of a sell-out Barcelona audience on WWE’s European tour.
The Street Profits have been one of the most athletic and explosive tag teams in WWE today. However, for the last four years, they failed multiple times in claiming the tag team titles for themselves. Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford once again had an opportunity on this week’s edition of SmackDown. But this time, The Profits did not miss and walked out with the gold.

The Street Profts competed against DIY in the main event of WWE SmackDown in Barcelona

The tensions between the Street Profits and DIY’s Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa had been brewing for weeks. General Manager Nick Aldis made a tag team title match for this week’s edition of SmackDown, taking place at the Olimpic Arena in Barcelona, Spain, as part of their European tour.
The Profits walked into the bout with much confidence and the Spanish crowd firmly in their support. However, Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa did not flinch from that and were ready with their explosive move set and moves as a tag team. The action was thrilling and a classic display of excellent tag team wrestling.
Both teams went up against each other and delivered some insane spots that captivated the Spanish fans and led them to erupt in loud cheers throughout the match. Interestingly, Pretty Deadly, who are next in line to challenge for the WWE Tag Team titles, were closing watching the match from the backstage area.
The action continued inside the ring as both teams went back and forth. Towards the end of the bout, The Street Profits survived a double-team attack from DIY. Following that, Gargano accidentally took our his partner, Tomasso Ciampa, with a kick. With Ciampa out of the equation, Gargaon was left alone to feel the wrath of The Profits.

Angelo Dawkins connected with a Sky High on Johnny Gargano, and Montez Ford followed it up with a Seven Star Frog Splash to seal the victory. This marked Street Profits’ first title win after almost four years in WWE. The duo celebrated with the Spanish audience as the pyros went off for their celebrations.
