A Familiar Feeling of Love - Yet Uniquely Different

In “Christmas in the Spotlight”, Jessica Lord plays Bowyn, a pop star who has always written her songs centred around love but has failed to find the one for herself. Then she meets Drew who is a professional football player played by Laith Wallschleger. Lord knows that the fanfiction will still make the readers resonate well with Swift and Kelce's story, but she assures that it is not a copy of theirs. "We're not trying to be them, we could never be them," Lord explains, according to People.

A Tribute to Taylor Swift's Influence

It is, indeed a special moment for Jessica Lord playing Bowyn because she has always been inspired by Taylor Swift's music and persona. When younger, her grandparents took her to one of Swift's concerts. Lord says, "I am just a huge fan. I admire her as a woman in the industry and just as a person generally. She's so dedicated to her craft, her fans, and the way she gives back… she's just such a boss." Playing a character inspired by Swift would be a dream come true for Lord, adding another personal touch to the movie.
