INDORE: Promising young Indian cricketer
Unmukt Chand feels that performing step by step at the domestic level will open the gate to success for him.
"I cannot make a long prediction, where will I stand in future, but I would rather perform well at the domestic level step-by-step and improve on the basics for an international call", said Chand.
After making hundreds in several under-19 tournaments, Chand scored 116 off 133 balls for his Delhi team in the Vijay Hazare finals at Vishakhapatnam against Assam.
"These matches allow me to share a dressing room with star cricketers, who keep on guiding me from time to time", said a confident Chand.
In the coming months, Chand would again get an opportunity to play with star players at the
IPL. He will be representing Delhi Daredevils.
"The preparation for IPL is going good but first I am gearing up for Deodhar Trophy and Mushtaq Ali T-20 and a few other matches", said the 19-year-old cricketer.
"I pay attention on the current game, like now I am looking forward for PSBP finale on Friday and hope to score more than today's score," expressed Chand, who scored 29 off 19 runs for ONGC in the match against BPCL.
Chand who, some time back, toured New Zealand with India A, toured South Africa with Delhi Daredevils, played a tour game against an England XI, participated in the
BCCI's Corporate Trophy for ONGC, and represented Delhi in the domestic season. He is now grabbing more attention as he got featured in his first TV commercial.
"I would not like to talk about the commercial but if I keep performing well, I hope people might get to see more me on the idiot box. The recognition does boost me up and encourages me to perform better," said Chand.
