Ayesha showed her frustration over the unfair calls. The Warriors are currently grappling with a string of close games, and have repeatedly voiced concerns about referee inconsistency this season. Ayesha’s criticism sparked following the discussion of her kid Canon, where she mocked the ref's unfair calls asserting that such calls really affect the overall gameplay.

Ayesha Curry recently appeared on Sherri Shepperd’s show, where she shared a funny childhood memory while discussing her son Canon. During the discussion, the conversation soon turned to her husband Stephen Curry as Sherri referenced a moment of the Golden State Warriors star’s game. “Well I don’t know, if you’re going to grow out of it, cuz I saw Steph on the court, and they say ‘You foul’, he goes ‘I didn’t do it’. So….” Sherri said.

Ayesha was quick to respond to the remark of the host. She responded by defending her husband, “He did not, Sherri.”

Interestingly, Ayesha’s interview with Sherri came just days after the Warriors’ win against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Golden State secured the victory by a single point, but the game wasn’t without controversy. One moment in particular, came late in the third quarter when Curry drove into the paint and was fouled by Jaden McDaniels. Initially, referees failed to call a shooting foul. Curry quickly protested. After review, he was awarded free throws. Broadcasters also criticized the officiating.

“They’re so inconsistent with this…. Steph was at least in the upward motion at least 2 free throws they gave Edwards. Steph is in the upward motion at least. Tony Brothers just said that ‘We just gave it to the Timberwolves not too long ago in continuation’ That’s all these players want is consistency.,.. Sometimes in game they haven’t been consistent,” the broadcaster said of the game.

As for Curry, he has a long history with the referees as he previously admitted losing his cool in some incidents in the past. “It exhausts me,” Curry said of unfair referee calls. “One thousand percent more than any defense. You get distracted and waste energy yelling at the refs.” Shedding some more light on his frustration, Curry revealed “I’ve thrown a mouthpiece or two … or three … or four,” the Warriors star added.

The 36-year-old may face unfair calls on the court but his wife, Ayesha has been very supportive. While Curry mostly maintained his composure, the unfair calls could be frustrating sometimes. Regardless, the father of four often overcomes all odds as he has propelled his team to some of the much-needed victories.
