LiAngelo Ball drops sneak peek of GloRilla collaboration teasing new music video on the way

LiAngelo Ballhas recently teased a sneak peek of a new music video of his hit Tweaker. His brothers, Lonzo and LaMelo, have established themselves in the NBA, but LiAngelo chose a different career after his brief tenure in the G-League. Ball, who is better known by his rap name GELO, has been making waves in the hip-hop world. His breakout hit, Tweaker, has gone viral and helped the rapper with major opportunities, including a high-profile collaboration with rapper GloRilla.

LiAngelo Ball has recently sparked buzz among fans as he teased his collaboration with rapper GloRilla. His debut song, Tweaker, which was released on January 3 under his independent family label, Born to Ball Music Group, quickly gained traction among fans. The song debuted at No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 just two weeks later. Tweaker was a huge success, and by late February, it had claimed more than 90 million on-demand streams, generating an estimated $640,000 in revenue from both master recording rights and publishing.
The song’s explosive growth also caught the attention of major industry players. In January, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that Ball secured a lucrative record deal with Def Jam and Universal Music Group worth up to $13 million, with $8 million guaranteed.
The popularity of Tweaker only increased with the release of a remix featuring legendary rapper Lil Wayne. The collaboration helped push the song’s streaming numbers even higher. The week of February 7–13 saw a significant boost with 13.6 million streams, resulting in nearly 90,000 on-demand song units. Ball’s visibility also skyrocketed when he performed at the NBA All-Star Weekend halftime show.

Now, Ball is preparing for his next big move, as he teased his collaboration with GloRilla who has made her name with hard-hitting flow and chart-topping hits. Certainly, GloRilla has become one of the most sought-after names in hip-hop. Ball teased their upcoming music video on Instagram, simply captioning it, “Coming soon!” The announcement sent fans into a frenzy, which stirred immediate buzz on social media.
Ball’s journey hasn’t followed the expected path of a top basketball prospect. The 26-year-old spent years in the NBA G League trying to break into the main league and extend his basketball career, but he never quite found his footing in the league even after joining Charlotte Hornets for the 2022 NBA Summer League. However, his shift to music has proven to be a game-changer.
