Former Yankees star Juan Soto knows the art of being in the spotlight. He created waves in the MLB world after taking the exit door from the Yankees and joining hands with the New York Mets for a $765 million contract. Despite being flocked by great offers from the other MLB clubs, Soto went ahead with a record-breaking deal with the Mets. Recently, an MLB insider made a bold claim about the New York Yankees for the 2025 season after the exit of Juan Soto

MLB insider makes a bold prediction on Yankees after Juan Soto’s exit

During a recent interview with the MLB Network, media outlet Newsday’s MLB beat writer Laura Albanese spoke about the New York Yankees. In between the conversation, Albanese even pointed towards the bullish projections on the Yankees after the exit of Juan Soto. According to her, it wouldn’t be easy to sail through the 2025 MLB season after losing the Dominican outfielder. She said-
"It is going to be tough. The projections are pretty bullish on the Yankees. They do think that they have, I think, the fourth-best offense in MLB, even without Juan Soto. But so much of it is reliant on Aaron Judge. The Yankees do have to hope that a few of the pieces kind of work out.

Laura Albanese further elaborated-
"They're gambling a little bit with this lineup. While it is deeper, it's still going to be missing Juan Soto. It's going to be missing that presence in the batter's box. What he was able to do in terms of protecting Judge, but also what he was able to do in terms of imparting knowledge to other hitters."
According to Soto, the New York Mets went ahead with him because of who he is both on and off the field. During an interview with Today, he said-
"For who I am, so I’m gonna keep being who I am. That’s the biggest thing for me. I don’t want to try to do more; I’m not gonna try to put a building on my back. I just gotta keep doing whatever I’ve been doing since day one. So I think that’s how I keep the pressure out of my way.”
Juan Soto admitted that his decision to go ahead with the Mets was not influenced by his take on the MLB and their offer; instead, there were other factors at play, including his family, with respect to opting for the New York Mets for the next 15 years.
