Even as the “Torpedo” style bat has become yet another controversial issue in the MLB, ever since players from the New York Yankees adopted it, the team captain, Aaron Judge, the current American League Most Valuable Player Award winner, has a firm opinion on the Torpedo bat.

Yankees’ captain Aaron Judge says his performance speaks for itself

The Yankees’ Aaron Judge feels he doesn’t want to use the "Torpedo" bat. The team captain believes he wants to keep using the same bat that has helped him succeed throughout his MLB career.
Speaking to The Atlantic about the Torpedo bat, Aaron Judge said:
"What I did the past couple of seasons speaks for itself, Why try to change something if you have something that's working?"
Different from a regular bat, the "torpedo bat" has more weight and wood toward the label. It helps the players in hitting the ball more firmly. It avoids mishits. Thanks to the brilliant idea that was created by an MIT based physicist, who has been working for the New York Yankees.

Teammates from New York Yankees support the Torpedo bat

While the New York Yankees’ team captain Aaron Judge expressed his firm opinion on using the regular bat, and not the Torpedo bat, team players like Jazz Chisholm Jr. and Anthony Volpe feel they are comfortable in using the new bat design.
In the recent game, the duo decided to use the "Torpedo" bat, which has more weight shifted toward the label instead of the barrel. The main purpose of this bat is to help players hit the ball more firmly.
Yes. It is legal to use the newly designed Torpedo bat. It meets all the expected guidelines and rules of the MLB when it comes to the size and weight of bats. It is important for teams to experiment with new equipment and designs, and this Torpedo bat is just that. A new design that has left people wondering.
