The F1 team Alpine has been having a pretty week lately, with the team and their driver reshuffling all of a sudden. After Oliver Oakes left the team. They have now replaced their driver, Jack Doohan with Franco Colapinto for five races. So far, It’s not clear if Doohan will return or if Alpine wants a new driver. However, Colapinto now brings many fans and sponsors, but his sudden move has led to people criticising Alpine’s decisions. With these new changes, Flavio Briatore has now cleared the air of confusion from his side.

Flavio Briatore speaks up

While it was Flavio Briatore who now headed the team as a principal at Alpine after Oliver Oakes’ exit, his transition wasn’t as smooth as expected.
Oliver Oakes resigned from Alpine without giving a clear reason, but rumours say he didn’t agree with Flavio Briatore’s decisions. Their disagreements may have caused Oakes to quit. This is just the latest in a series of big changes at Alpine.
Flavio Briatore took to Instagram where he said he had nothing to do with Oliver Oakes leaving the Alpine F1 team. He made it clear that Oakes decided to resign on his own, and Briatore did not influence or force that decision in any way.

Flavio Briatore says the rumours are false

Flavio Briatore, in his Instagram post, cleared all the rumours. He said:“A lot has been said in the past 24-hours incorrectly associating the decision of Oli resigning to an alleged disagreement, or that we shared different views. This is completely false and far from the truth.”Further, Briatore added:“Me and Oli have a very good relationship and had long-term ambitions to drive this team forward together. We respect Oli’s request to resign and have therefore accepted his resignation. The reasons are not related to the team and are of a personal nature.”He said:“I will continue to be more and more involved with the team, together with the strong management we already have in place. We will work hard on improving our position this season and preparing for2026. Included is a message from Oli to the whole team.”Meanwhile, Oakes too responded to the situation. He said:“It is a personal decision for me to step down.
