Big names, bigger stakes: Formula 1 goes cinematic with a Hollywood twist
Brad Pitt's presence, combined with the production excellence of Apple Original Films, has introduced a whole new level of thrill to the international fanbase of Formula 1. Damson Idris, the star of his critically acclaimed roles in Snowfall, adds ferocity to playing a young under-pressure driver. The film includes a combination of actual racing shots and dramatic narratives — a technique set to satisfy both die-hards and novices alike.
With behind-the-scenes backing from Formula 1 itself and from producers such as Jerry Bruckheimer, the film hopes to do for motorsport what Top Gun: Maverick did for flying.
