NEW DELHI: Lionel Messi continues to make his presence felt in the United States with yet another match winning performance for Inter Miami but what stole the limelight more than the result was his gesture towards the club's co-owner David Beckham after scoring a goal.
A video that went viral on social media showed Messi celebrating his goal against Atlanta United in his usual manner by pointing to the sky before making a gesture at the former England footballer.

Messi scored twice in Inter Miami's 4-0 victory over Atlanta United, firing his team into the knockout rounds of the Leagues Cup.
The Argentine World Cup-winner made an impressive impact as he earned his first starting spot for his new club. After previously coming off the bench and securing a dramatic 94th-minute winner in the game against Mexican club Cruz Azul on Friday, Messi continued to shine in his first encounter against a Major League Soccer club.

Messi was simply too much for Atlanta to cope with and he struck up a fruitful understanding with Finnish winger Robert Taylor, who helped himself to Miami's other two goals.
The Leagues Cup is a tournament which brings together all the top flight teams from MLS and Mexico's Liga MX and with two wins Miami top their group and with their new arrival looking settled so quickly, they will surely believe they can get their first ever trophy.
