Dwayne Johnson's festive flick 'Red One' to release in November 2024

The official release date for 'Red One,' the highly anticipated Christmas movie scripted by Chris Morgan has been announced. This Dwayne Johnson action-packed holiday comedy, based on an original story by Hiram Garcia, is slated to premiere globally on November 15, 2024.

Directed by Jake Kasdan, 'Red One' boasts an ensemble cast featuring Dwayne Johnson alongside talents such as J.K. Simmons, Lucy Liu, Kiernan Shipka, Bonnie Hunt, Kristofer Hivju,Nick Kroll, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, and Wesley Kimmel.


Chris Morgan, recognized for his contributions to the 'Fast and Furious' franchise, collaborated with Johnson on multiple Fast movies and the 2019 spinoff, 'Hobbs & Shaw.' The film's release date strategically positions it just before Thanksgiving, indicating the studio's strong push into the theatrical movie landscape.

Dwayne Johnson, in a previous Instagram post, described 'Red One' as a "big, fun, action-packed, and fresh new take on Christmas Lore." Drawing inspiration from various genres, Johnson likened it to a fusion of Jumanji, Miracle on 34th Street, Hobbs & Shaw, with elements reminiscent of Harry Potter and a touch of the classic "It's a Wonderful Life."
