In contrast, the Super Kings celebrated a victory in the opener against Mumbai Indians but faced their heaviest defeat at home against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on Friday night. This was only their second-ever loss to RCB at the Chepauk, and first in 17 years.
Chennai will find some comfort in the slower pitch at Guwahati, which could benefit their spinners more than the conditions at home.


Similar to other IPL venues, the pitch at the Barsapara Stadium is suitable for batting and high scores. This venue has produced scores of 200, but in the last game, Rajasthan crawled to just 151 against KKR.
