Art has different interpretations for different people. For some, a blue background is just blue colour painted over a wall, and to others it is the sadness expressed by the artist. And similarly, art has a way of making us see the world differently. While some artists use traditional brushes, paints, and canvases for their creations, others push the boundaries and make something entirely new. And these creations are just as beautiful and magical as the conventional ones.
One such artist duo is Daniel Rueda and Anna Devís.
The unique collaborations
The duo collaborates with brands, and has their own creations, where they blend everyday objects with icons and logos of companies. From the ordinary pepperoni pizzas, to the rising sun and balloon, there is something unique for everyone in their creations.
One of their most interesting and famous creations is using a simple hat. The girl, Anna, spray paints and customises her hat to look like a helping prop, sometimes an avocado pit, other times the seedhead of a Sunflower, and blends it with the background to create a visual masterpiece. Even a simple design like a pepperoni slice is enough to turn an everyday hat into an artistic statement.

Apart from the hats, another quiver in their arrow are unique necklines.
Thats right! Fashion too becomes a piece of art in this series where Anna cuts and reshapes her dresses and necklines to fit their artistic vision. By having a deep, sleek triangle cut into the back of a dress, or by painting over the dresses, she adds herself into the composition, making her body also a part of the artwork.
There are instances where she has dyed her clothes, asked her designer to cut the most beautiful dresses, and even stitched up new fabrics just to make it fit with the background scene.
When the elaborate necklines are altered and the colours of the clothes are paired, she makes herself one with the background, telling a story with the most minimal means.
Turning everyday objects into art

We all spot a few empty walls and broken doors on our way to office, but seldom does the idea of painting them into something useful come to mind. But Anne and Daniel do just that, turning urban structures into art.
Everyday cityscapes turn into playgrounds in their collection, and they transform doors, windows, and even walls and roads to fit into their artistic element. With the help of paints, paper, designs, and positioning, they create illusions, blending into the scene, and make people see ordinary spaces in an entirely new way.
They even transform ordinary, flat tables into stage for props, walls into fallback designs, and cutlery into abstract art or a stencil for the next artwork.
A new art perspective
One of the freshest perspectives in the art world is undoubtedly by this duo. It is like a reminder that art isnt just what is shown in museums and galleries, but is also a way to increase engagement, put people in awe, and turn the ordinary into a creative mix.
Anne creates an optical illusion in the streets, homes, and anywhere she can find a ‘canvas’, and blends herself, her body and her dress, into the narrative she wants.
