Grammy Award-winning musician and environmentalist
Ricky Kej joins the jury panel of the first edition of the
World Health Organization’s film festival, Health for All. For the theme, ‘2020 the International Year of the Nurse and Midwife’, the organisation received 1,265 submissions from 119 countries, which will be judged by a jury comprising British film director
Richard Curtis, animation film production consultant Patrick Eveno, West African singer and songwriter Angélique Kidjo, writer and film director Barbara Miller and Brazilian star Wagner Moura and Ricky.
Given the current global health scenario, the jury members will view each of the submissions in their allocated category – video reports, animation films and films on nurses and midvives - from their homes. “Different modes of communication and technology have made the process much easier for us,” says Ricky, who is a jury member of the films on nurses and midwives segment.
