In this Swiss town, it rained chocolate and we’re not joking!

Have you ever thought of living in a chocolate town, where everything is made of chocolate? Sounds dreamy? Well, certainly, but the residents of a Swiss town lived that moment when it started snowing particles of a fine cocoa powder after the ventilation system at a chocolate factory malfunctioned.
According to international media agencies, the Lindt & Spruengli company has confirmed that there was a minor defect in the cooling ventilation for a line for roasted “cocoa nibs” in its factory in Olten, between Zurich and Basel.
If you don’t know, nibs, fragments of crushed cocoa beans, are the basis of chocolate.

The particles combined with strong winds and in no time the powder spread in and around the vicinity of the factory, leaving a fine cocoa dusting in the environment.
As per the report a local car was coated with chocolate powder and the company had to pay for cleaning.
As per the latest report, when this article was filed, the ventilation system had been repaired and things are under control.
