Avocado tikka masala

“Although avocados are often considered bland, they can be given a tasty twist when incorporated into Indian cuisine. Their creamy texture complements the bold flavours of Indian spices, making them a versatile ingredient. Avocados can be mashed into paratha dough for a richer taste, blended with coriander, green chillies, lime juice, and salt to create a zesty chutney, or mixed with yoghurt and cumin powder for a refreshing raita. These additions transform the mild avocado into a flavourful delight,” says chef Nishant Diwakar of Taj Fort Aguada Resort & Goa.

Chef Tushar Malkani from The Yellow House shares, “Avocado chutney provides a creamy alternative to traditional coconut or mint chutneys, offering a unique texture and flavour. It’s a great way to introduce avocados into your diet, especially for those who enjoy Indian condiments.”
