Bestselling international author
Stephen King took to social media to reveal the cover of his upcoming novel 'Sleeping Beauties' on March 29. He also shared the release date of the book as September 26, 2017 and the link of a small excerpt of the book.
Here's what Stephen King tweeted:
'Sleeping Beauties' is a father-son collaboration as it is co-written by Stephen and his son Owen King, author of 'Double Feature'.
The book was officially announced in June 2016.
A synopsis of the book on Stephen's official website reads: 'In a future so real and near it might be now, something happens when women go to sleep; they become shrouded in a cocoon-like gauze. If they are awakened, if the gauze wrapping their bodies is disturbed or violated, the women become feral and spectacularly violent; and while they sleep they go to another place...The men of our world are abandoned, left to their increasingly primal devices. One woman, however, the mysterious Evie, is immune to the blessing or curse of the sleeping disease. Is Evie a medical anomaly to be studied? Or is she a demon who must be slain?'
Meanwhile, the first trailer of the book adaptation of Stephen King's iconic novel 'It' was also released by Warner Bros. Pictures on the same day. The American supernatural horror film is adaptated from Stephen King's 1986 novel of the same name. The spooky trailer of 'It' has got 8,987,556 views on YouTube in roughly 24 hours and is expected to hit the theatres on September 8, 2017.
Fall this year seems huge for King as both- his new novel and book-adaptation- would be released in September 2017!
