'Paddington' scriptwriter Simon Farnaby writes his first book for children

Scriptwriter-actor Simon Farnaby, who has worked in 'Paddington' movies among other shows, is all set to debut as an author. News is that Simon Farnaby is writing his first book for children titled 'The Wizard in My Shed' which will be released this year.
'The Wizard in My Shed' is the first book of a new series. The book follows Merdyn the Wild, a warlock the Dark Ages who is sent to the 21st century for his bad behaviour.Rose, an ordinary girl, agrees to help him navigate in the modern world provided he helps her fix her broken family in return.
The book will be published by Hodder Children's Book on October 1, 2020. "This hilariously silly, heartfelt adventure with a historical twist is perfect for fans of David Walliams and David Baddiel," says the publisher.
The second book in the series will be released in 2022, according to The Bookseller.
