Stephen King's short story from the anthology 'If It Bleeds', which was published in 2020, 'The Life of Chuck' is being adapted into a film. And now, the news is that actors
Tom Hiddleston and
Mark Hamill will be featured in the upcoming film. According to reports, Hiddleston will be seen as the lead role while Hamill will be playing the role of Albie.
The project will be directed and scripted by Mike Flanagan.
He will also produce the adaptation for Intrepid Pictures along with Trevor Macy, according to Deadline. The script of the film has been in works for many months now.
'The Life of Chuck' is a three-part story which tells about Charles Krantz's life but in reverse chronology-- the story begins with at the time of his death due to brain tumour at the age of 39, and it ends at his childhood in a haunted house.
Some of Stephen King's notable books which have been adapted for screen are: 'Carrie', 'Pet Sematary', 'It', 'The Shawshank Redemption', among others.
His latest novel 'Holly' is expected to be out in September 2023.
