The comedy entertainer MAD Square has struck gold at the box office, earning both critical acclaim and audience love, quickly becoming a massive hit. To mark the film’s success, the makers hosted a grand celebration in Hyderabad, on April 4, 2025. The highlight of the evening was the presence of RRR star Jr NTR, who graced the occasion as the chief guest. The 'RRR' actor showered praise on the cast and crew of the film, particularly his brother-in-law Narne Nithin, who plays one of the leads.
Tired of too many ads?
During the event, Jr NTR recalled how Nitin was initially shy and hesitant to speak to him after marrying his sister in 2011, but eventually gathered the courage to express his dream of becoming an actor.
As per an India Today report Jr NTR said, "He was usually too nervous to talk to me, if I entered the house, he would leave. I was the one who always tried to initiate conversations with him. And then, one day, the only thing he dared to say to me was, 'I want to be an actor.' I responded with equal boldness, 'You won’t have my support. Go figure it out on your own'".
Proud brother-in-law moment
He further shared that deep inside he was worried about how his acting career would go and shared that he believes in giving people the freedom to carve out their own path. He expressed immense pride in Nithin’s achievements and credited his success to hard work and collaboration with talented filmmakers.
"And today, I couldn't be prouder of him. His journey so far has been possible because he has worked with good directors and producers. He has a bright future ahead", added the 'Devera' actor.
Credits to the team
Jr NTR also praised the film's other leads, Sangeeth Shobhan and Ram Nitin. He noted that Sangeeth’s late father, Sobhan, would be proud of him and his brother Santhosh for their contributions to cinema. Speaking about Ram Nitin, Jr NTR remarked that he saw glimpses of his younger self in the actor's performance in 'MAD Square'. He also lauded director Kalyan Shankar for delivering back-to-back hits with 'MAD' and its sequel 'MAD Square' that comedy is a challenging genre that requires a pure heart.
