Pawan Kalyan needs no introduction as he commands a huge fan following in Telugu-speaking states and is one of the most sought after actors in Tollywood. Now, to make a film with him, a producer has to pay Rs 50 crore as his remuneration. But, well-known producer Allu Arvind paid very little remuneration for the debut film of the actor.
Pawan made his debut in Tollywood in 1996 with the film Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi starring Supriya as the female lead. It was the Telugu remake of Hindi hit film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. However, he got recognition after Bhimaneni Srinivasa Rao’s Suswagatham, which released in 1998. Fondly called Tollwyood's Power Star, Pawan Kalyan’s fame sky-rocketed after the success of A Karunakaran’s Tholi Prema.
Pawan Kalyan Real Stunts | Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi | Geetha Arts
During an interview, Pawan Kalyan said that he received Rs 5,000 a month for a few months for Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi, bankrolled by Allu Aravind under his home banner Geetha Arts. Now, he is one of the highest-paid actors in Tollywood, with a remuneration of Rs 18 crore. His pay cheque is likely to increase, given that he will be working with Krish Jagarlamudi and Harish Shankar this year. Even though he has churned out a few duds like Agnyaathavaasi, Sardaar Gabbar Singh and Katamarayudu, his career seems unscathed.
