Vikram's 'Chiyaan 61' shooting begins with a test shoot today

With Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan' turning out to be huge success and all the promotional work complete for the film, Chiyaan Vikram is all set to move on to his next project. Director Pa Ranjith is all set to begin shooting for his next with Chiyaan Vikram, which is tentatively referred to as 'Chiyaan 61'. The team has begun the test shoot for the film today and the first schedule of shooting is being planned to begin in the next couple of days.
Pa Ranjith had recently revealed the film will be an interesting world and will give an assurance to a community that has been searching for it for a long time. He also revealed that the film also has a strong female character that travels throughout the film.
The film is said to be a period drama from 1800's and shot on a grand scale. He also revealed that the team is planning shoot in 3D as well, which will be a visual treat for the audience. Earlier in June, producer Gnanavel Raja, who is bankrolling the film under his Studio Green banner had revealed that the film will also be shot in 3D. He further said that the film is being planned at a massive scale and will be shot in Hindi as well.
