'Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu 2' gets its release date!

Director Suseenthiran made his debut in Tamil with the film 'Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu' back in 2009 that starred Vishnu Vishal and Saranya Mohan in the lead. The film also introduced a slew of supporting stars like Soori, Appu Kutty among others. Suseenthiran has also written the script for a sequel but is busy with various other projects.
Director Selva Sekaran, an erstwhile assistant of Suseenthiran will be directing 'Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu 2', a Poongavanam and N.Ananth production that will hit screens on July 12, it was officially announced on Tuesday.
Touted to be a sports drama, the film will have a new protagonist played by Vikranth along with Pasupathy in the role of his father. The film will tell the tale of how Vikranth joins the team and the bond between a father and son. Kishore will reprise the character as the coach in the sequel as well. E Krishnaswamy will be handling the cinematography and editing will be done by Ajay.
