Suseenthiran made his debut in Tamil with the film 'Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu' back in 2009 that starred
Vishnu Vishal and Saranya Mohan in the lead. The film also introduced a slew of supporting stars like Soori, Appu Kutty among others. Suseenthiran has also written the script for a sequel but is busy with various other projects.
Director Selva Sekaran, an erstwhile assistant of Suseenthiran will be directing 'Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu 2', a Poongavanam and N. Ananth production that will hit screens on July 12, it was officially announced on Tuesday.
Touted to be a sports drama, the film will have a new protagonist played by Vikranth along with
Pasupathy in the role of his father. The film will tell the tale of how Vikranth joins the team and the bond between a father and son. Kishore will reprise the character as the coach in the sequel as well. E Krishnaswamy will be handling the cinematography and editing will be done by Ajay.
