'Leo': 32,500 tickets sold in the UK for day 1 of release; expects to break the record presently held by 'Pathaan'

The most anticipated and expected film of the year, 'Leo', is all set to release in theaters on October 19. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the action thriller has huge anticipation in India and abroad. Following 'Germany', 'Leo' has a huge stronghold in the UK. Taking to social media on September 30, movie analyst Taran Adarsh shared an official post stating that the Vijay starrer is shattering records in the UK and Europe.
Sharing an official poster stating that nearly 32,500 and more tickets have been sold in the UK for day 1 of the film release, he said, "Vijay: 'Leo' setting new benchmarks... #Thalapathy Vijay's #Leo is shattering records #overseas. Distributed in #UK and #Europe by #AhimsaEntertainment, with 19 days left, the film has already taken the #Tamil Day 1 #BO crown in #UK from the previously held #PS1. #Leo is targeting to surpass the current single-day earnings for an Indian film in the UK, a record presently held by Pathaan."
Statistically speaking, with 19 more days for the film to be released, it is expected that Vijay's 'Leo' might break the record set by Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan' soon.
'Leo' is part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe, and the film stars Vijay, Trisha, Priya Anand, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan, Mathew Thomas, Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, and Sandy, among others. The film also has Anurag Kashyap appearing in a cameo role. The music for the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The film is set to release on October 19, and the movie makers are yet to reveal when the trailer for the film will be released.
Even the earlier planned audio launch, which was scheduled to happen on September 30, was cancelled citing safety concerns of the fans and movie audience. The film has only two songs, 'Naa Ready' and 'Badass', which have already been launched.
