Popular comedy actor Manobala, who made everyone laugh out loud with his comedy scenes in Tamil movies, passed away due to ill health on May 3 afternoon and left an empty place in the industry.
Manobala's mortal remains were cremated in the Valasarvakkam Electric Crematorium, while Kovai Sarala, Soundararaja, and others attended the funeral procession. Manobala's mortal remains were kept at the actor's residence in Valasarvakkam, Chennai, since last afternoon, and several cinema stars paid their homage to the actor.
Many cinema stars remained at the actor's residence on the night as they were shocked by the untimely demise of Manobala.
The funeral procession of Manobala began at around 11:30 AM on May 4, while Kovai Sarala, Soundararaja, Ravi Mariya, Cheran, and several other cinema stars attended the final procession. Manobala's son, Harish Kumar, did the funeral proceedings for his father, and he thanked everyone for their support. Thousands of fans also attended the funeral procession for Manobala, and the uncountable numbers gathered for the popular actor proved his kind nature.
Earlier, Vijay, Mani Ratnam, Shankar, Lokesh Kanagaraj, Vijay Sethupathi, Siddharth, K Bhagyaraj, Mansoor Ali Khan, and several others paid a visit to Manobala's house to share their condolences with the beloved actor's family. Manobala's last day at work was for his upcoming film with director Kathirvelu, and the director broke out in tears when he arrived to pay homage to the former.
