Aathmika's next is a crime thriller with Udhayanidhi

It was announced last year that Udhayanidhi Stalin will be working with Mu Maran of Iravukku Aayiram Kangal fame. We’ve now learnt that this suspense thriller will have Aathmika as the female lead. Maran says, “I wanted a Tamil heroine for this particular character. And I felt Aathmika will be apt for the role that I had written. I can’t divulge too many details about her character, but this role is very important...a key one, I would say.”
The team will begin shooting for the movie from next week. “Yes, we will begin shooting from the second week of February. We will be shooting in and around Chennai, and in Pondicherry,” says the director. Ask him about the relevance of ‘Kann’ in both his films’ titles, and he says, “It wasn’t intentional. This film is a crime thriller. We had a couple of options in hand, but somehow, this title suited the script the best.”
