It seems remixes are here to stay in Kollywood. After the phenomenal success of remixes such as Vachikava Unna Mattum Nenjukulle…. and Ponmagal Vandal… in recent times, the demand from directors to have remixes in their films seems to have shot up.

It seems remixes are here to stay in Kollywood. After the phenomenal success of remixes such as Vachikava Unna Mattum Nenjukulle.... and Ponmagal Vandal... in recent times, the demand from directors to have remixes in their films seems to have shot up.
Take, for instance, the case of Guru Shishyan, which is being directed by Shakthi Chidambaram. The film, which features Sundar C, Sathyaraj, Shruthi Prakash and Santhanam, has music by Dhina who has chosen to remix a hit from the film Badrakaali, which released almost 25 years ago.
Sources close to the unit disclose that the remixed song, Vaangonna...
