I want to do challenging roles: Richa Panai

The Bhima girl who conquered the Malayali hearts with her bewitching smile and fresh looks is back to woo the audience once again. The Delhiite will next be seen in Sandwich opposite Kunchako Boban.
“It is a family entertainer and I play a happy-go-lucky girl, Shruti,” says Richa who made her acting debut in 'Vadamalli.'
In Bangkok Summershe had a much more glamorous role.But Richa is happier with her role in Sandwichas she can easily relate with Shruti’s character. “Shruti is an engineer and quite bold and independent,” says Richa. The movie also features actor Ananya in a prominent role. So, did the two young heroines get along on the sets? “Yes, of course. We had a blast on the sets. Though we did not have too many roles together we enjoyed whenever we came together.”
Though only three films old, Richa says she would like to do role serious roles in Malayalam. “I want to do challenging roles. All the while I have acted only in family entertainers. I would love to do a powerful women-oriented movie,” says Richa who is at home in Kerala.
Initially, she says, she had difficulty with the dialogues. “But now I am quite comfortable with the language. It is getting better and better,” says Richa.
Sandwich is directed by debutant, M S Manu, who who worked with Shaji Kailas as an associate director. Actor Suraj Venjaramoodu has an important role in the movie. The other actors are Lalu Alex, Vijayakumar, Manoj K Jayan, Biju Pappan, Jaffer Idukki and Kochu Preman. The movie will hit the theatres on October 14.
