I am happy where I am: Raghu Mukherjee
Model-turned-actor Raghu Mukherjee may not have hit the bull’s eye with his first Sandalwood outing, Paris Pranaya, but he managed to strike gold with his next, Savaari. His subsequent two movies failed to keep up the momentum, which Raghu hopes his next film Dandupalya will take care of.
Dandupalya, incidentally, is a film based on the real life incidents involving the infamous crime gang by that name.

“I play a common man in the movie, whose life is seriously impacted by various twists and turns,” says Raghu, who was in Mysore recently, for the shoot of the film.
Dandupalya, also stars Pooja Gandhi and Nisha Kothari, with the latter making a comeback of sorts after a brief hiatus. “I’ve only shot for a few scenes with her, but it was a fantastic experience. She was very professional and we were very comfortable with each other on the sets,” he says.
This film apart, Raghu doesn’t have anything else on his plate just yet. The offers, he says, are there, but he’s yet to give his nod to a satisfactory script. But ask him if its still early days in his career to be rather choosy and he says, “I have witnessed ups and downs in my career and I don’t want to have success get to my head. This will let me stay focused and relaxed.”
Raghu, though, is happy with the roles he’s got so far in Sandalwood. “I am getting good roles which allow me to prove my acting prowess,” he says. So, what kind of roles is he looking forward in Sandalwood? “I don’t have any particular wish and am quite happy with what I have been doing so far,” signs off the actor, who has also hosted a reality show on a regional television channel.
