Ranjha Vikram Singh, who has done Punjabi, Hindi and South films like Motor Mitraan Di and Heropanti, is all set to get married. He has found his life partner in Simran Kaur, a Ludhiana based fashion stylist, through an arranged set up. The two were engaged in a recent ceremony and will get married soon.
"We are planning to do the wedding this year in December,” Ranjha tells us.
“This year has been at home mostly due to the lockdown and I want to finish personal agendas this year, so I can focus on the shoots next year.” Ranjha has two Hindi and one Punjabi film lined up besides his music and film production house. “So, I want to give my hundred percent there. In December the weather will be pleasant as it's winter and the COVID scare would hopefully have lessened. The families can visit since already people are moving out.” Speaking about how he met Simran, he says, “We didn't meet as a prospect. Her cousin introduced us on a video call and the agenda was clear in her mind that she can take it forward and the families can meet. As we say, marriages are made in heaven. I never expected I would meet my life partner during COVID times. She has good family values. I intend making her join Bollywood industry with me.”
Ranjha says he shares similar interests with Simran, who studied at Ludhiana. “We have similar tastes in almost everything. They say opposites attract but since people have to stay in the same house, you need to have a certain degree of compatibility and common liking. And we are hardcore Punjabis. We ignore the non-essential things,” he smiles.
The families are preparing for a big fat wedding soon.
