No, SRK is also not about director Smeep Kang, says filmmaker Vikram Thori
Filmmaker Vikram Thori
After clarifying that his upcoming film, titled SRK, has no link with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, director Vikram Thori once again had to put other rumours and leaks to rest. This time he said, "It's a mere coincidence that my Punjabi film Smeep Raj Kang (SRK in abbreviated form) matches the spelling of the name of cinema's versatile personality-- Smeep Kang."
Thori added, "We wanted a catchy title.

So, we zeroed in on a shortened form, SRK. But, let me tell you that whatever is being circulated is not true at all."
Sources said since Punjabi filmmaker-actor Smeep Kang (Carry On Jatta series fame) writes his name exactly the way it's spelt in Thori's film poster, it made many inquisitive. However, the director, who got many calls after the poster was out, had to clear that it’s nowhere close or linked to these personalities. "Rather, it’s an original work with a unique story," he said.

‘WILL WAIT FOR VACCINE OR RIGHT TIME’
The moviemaker is looking at vaccines or the right time to start shooting. “We can’t risk lives. So, we will follow the protocol and guidelines of the government in this.” Thori is looking to wrap up the shot in flat 40 days. “Due to the changing pattern of lockdown, we have halted the things. I can’t afford to have breaks in between the shoot.” Sources said one or two songs of the movie and some sequences will be shot abroad. However, a major chunk will be done in India.
