Masurkar has earlier directed Suleimani Keeda and his Newton's entry to Berlinale, as the film fest is popularly known, is perhaps another pat of appreciation for indie filmmakers of the country.
This will be Anjali Patil's next Hindi film outing after Mirzya and Finding Fanny. Anjali's performance in The Silence, directed by Gajendra Ahire, was lauded at the recently held Karrm Filmfare Marathi Awards, where she received the award for the Best Debut (Female). It will be welcoming to see the fresh pairing of Anjali and Rajkummar Rao, who have made his mark in the Hindi film industry with films like Shahid, Citylights and Queen.
