Ignored at state level, film wins national award
Sachin Khedekar is feeling euphoric after his film 'Aajcha Diwas Majha' won the Best Marathi Film title at the 61 National Film Awards.
Sachin Khedekar said, Receiving national recognition is a huge thing for the film and everyone associated with it, especially after it was ignored at the state level. The film's powerful script and the fact that it showcased the positive side of the political system is what led to its victory.
Speaking about the awards he further added, The kind of cinema that has made a mark at the National Awards this year is a signal that all kinds of films are made in Marathi as and each film is different from the other.
'Aajcha Diwas Majha' is directed by Chandrakant Kulkarni and also has actors Mahesh Manjrekar and Ashwini Bhave along with Khedekar in the lead.
